Jordan Draper
Jordan is a dedicated mental health nurse who began his professional journey after qualifying from Bournemouth University in 2020. Originally from the Isle of Wight, Jordan has refined his skills and expertise in various challenging and rewarding environments across Dorset. He started his career in a CAMHS inpatient unit, where he provided compassionate care and support to young people navigating complex mental health challenges.
Currently, Jordan is a valued member of a highly successful autism assessment team within the NHS, where his commitment to making a difference in the lives of individuals with autism is evident. His unique background, which includes a degree in Sport Psychology, allows him to bring a multifaceted approach to his practice, understanding both the psychological and physical aspects of well-being.
Beyond his clinical roles, Jordan enjoys exploring new cities abroad, having recently visited Tirana in Albania and Milan in Italy. He loves spending time at the beach or in a sunny beer garden and has a passion for cooking, with his favourite dish to make being a hearty paella. Jordan also has a rich history of community involvement through his passion for football and sports. He previously coached aspiring young athletes and children on the Isle of Wight for AFC Bournemouth and Portsmouth FC, fostering not only their athletic skills but also their mental resilience and teamwork. Jordan’s diverse experiences and unwavering dedication to mental health make him an exceptional nurse and advocate for his patients.
