At Haven Medical we offer mental health services which encompass both medical and non-medical support. Whether you have a pre-existing diagnosis or are grappling with challenges affecting your mental health, our dedicated specialist team is here to assist.
This will be led by our highly experienced consultant psychiatrist (a medical doctor specialised in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions). They will offer an initial assessment over 90 minutes where a full history will be taken. At this stage there will be a chance for a comprehensive discussion around any concerns or issues you may have.
You will be presented with a full, detailed report that will summarise the points of discussion and potentially provide a clear diagnosis. A truly bespoke and easy to follow treatment plan will be created discussing any medication or non-medical treatment and therapies planned.
You will be offered a 45-minute follow-up review appointment with the consultant psychiatrist. This session will afford you the opportunity to address any ongoing concerns and ensure the optimisation of your treatment plan.
Conditions we treat under psychiatry:
- Anxiety and depression
- Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Body dysmorphia (BDD)
- (PTSD) – or difficulties arising from trauma
- Stress management

ADHD is a behavioural pattern that can impact both children and adults, characterised by traits such as overactivity, easy distractibility, impulsivity, and difficulty sustaining concentration. While these behaviours are common, their impact on work and interpersonal relationships may signify ADHD.
Once diagnosed, treatment options, including medication and psychological interventions, are available to pave the way for a happier, more manageable life. It’s crucial to highlight that our approach involves a specialist assessment, emphasising the time and expertise required to ensure accuracy. We stand apart in our commitment to delivering a thorough and distinguished evaluation, diverging from potential concerns surrounding ADHD assessments in the broader context.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopment condition marked by challenges in social interaction, communication, and restricted or repetitive behaviours. The term “spectrum” underscores the varied symptoms and levels of impairment individuals with ASD may encounter. This spectrum ranges from effective communication to non-verbal tendencies.
Diagnosing ASD can be intricate, and there isn’t a single definitive test, making an extensive assessment with our experienced consultant psychiatrist crucial. While there is no specific treatment for ASD, understanding the condition can lead to valuable recommendations.
This understanding facilitates access to support from employers and acknowledgment of the need for adapted support. Additionally, our approach includes signposting to community services to further enhance comprehensive care and assistance.
